The Prequel ornaments are released

In 1999, all eyes in the Star Wars universe turned to Episode One. Hallmark noted the occasion with two of the six creations this year from The Phantom Menace.


Queen Amidala in her red royal robe, complete with jeweled hem was created by Dill Rhodus and stands 4.5" tall.

Anakin's sleek Naboo Starfighter (complete with the young pilot and R2-D2 in his astromech compartment behind the cockpit) in bright yellow and silver and measures 5.5" long and 3.5" wide, sculpted by Chris Webb.

Han Solo joins Luke and Leia as the third ornament in the Star Wars Series. Created by Patrician Andrews, Han from A New Hope is about 4.25" tall and is posed with blaster at the ready.

Chewbacca is also by Han's side as usual; he's a large, heavy ornament measuring 5" tall sculpted with his trusty bowcaster by Dill Rhodus.

Darth Vader's TIE Fighter is a "Magic" ornament; using the attached cord and plug, the cockpit lights up to reveal a silhouette of Vader and red glowing lights on the front of the ship. It measures 3.5" wide, 3" deep and 2" tall - designed by Dill Rhodus.

Katrina Bricker sculpted the miniatures set this year: The Max Rebo Band features Max Rebo, Sy Snootles and Droopy McCool from Return Of The Jedi. They are wonderfully detailed for only being about 1" tall each.
