A new red and white box design is revealed.

Six ornaments were created this year; two"Magic", one Series and one Limited Quantity in yet another re-design of the product packaging. Notably, there were NO miniatures again this year - perhaps the LEGO offerings are in lieu of the old minis?

Because 2013 is the 30th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi, four of the six ornaments are from Episode Six.

The first, a "Magic" ornament entitled At Jabba's Mercy features the slug crime lord and C-3PO regrettably at his side. I was pleasantly surprised that the ornament is balanced properly (although the positioning of the loop required for that is not ideal - should have been placed behind Jabba, not on his cheek). It is well sculpted by Katrina Bricker, however that being said, the paint job is a mess. I have never, ever, seen the quality of a Hallmark ornament being this low... and I have never been so hard on any ornament in this collection. Threepio's face is horrible, and Jabba has very little detail on the body. It measures 4 inches wide, 2 inches deep and 2.5 inches tall. Three 1.5v LR-44 batteries are inserted into the base and when the button on the dias is pressed, the following dialogue from Return Of The Jedi is played:

Jabba: (Huttese - calling for his Interpreter Droid)

C-3PO: (translating) "His high exaltedness, the great Jabba the Hutt has decreed that you are to be terminated - immediately. You will therefore be taken to the Dune Sea and cast into the Pit of Carkoon, the nesting place of the all powerful Sarlacc. In his belly you will find a new definition of pain and suffering as you are slowly digested over 1,000 years."

Jabba: "Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho..." (along with a few cackles from Salacious Crumb in the background).

The next "Magic" ornament is the All Terrain Scout Transport (AT-ST), again commemorating Return Of The Jedi's 30th Anniversary. This highly-detailed vehicle stands 3 inches wide, 3.5 inches deep, 4.25 inches tall and was sculpted by Robert Hurlburt. When the two 1.5v LR-44 batteries are inserted into the ground at it's feet, sounds of the Endor battle can be heard, along with Han declaring "I think I've got it!" and a few howls from Chewbacca.

Price: $ 29.95 US / $ 38.99 CDN

Seventeenth in the Series, this year features a two pack of Ewoks: Wicket and Teebo. Way back in 1998, Hallmark produced a set of three Ewok miniature ornaments (Wicket included). This is the first time Teebo was been done along with a "full sized" Wicket. Each figure is about 3 inches tall, including spear and headdress. Sculpted by Kristina Gaughran this time around.

Price: $ 17.95 US / $ 23.99 CDN

Jango Fett from Attack Of The Clones makes his second appearance as a Hallmark ornament. In 2002, Jango was in a slightly different stance. The sculptor is a newcomer to the Star Wars line; Jake Angell. Jango stands (or flies, to be more precise) about 4.5 inches tall.

Price: $ 14.95 US / $ 19.99 CDN

The "Limited Quantity" ornament for 2013 is Leia Boushh from Return Of The Jedi. This figure was first available during the July Keepsake Ornament Premiere Event and was limited to one per customer. This incredibly detailed sculpt is by Kristina Gaughran and Boushh stands about 4.5 inches tall.

Price: $ 14.95 US / $ 19.99 CDN

Another LEGO ornament was offered this year; the third character in this line (along with LEGO Vader and LEGO Stormtrooper). LEGO Yoda and stands the same as previous Lego ornaments at 2" wide, 1" deep and more than 3" tall. Once again, this was sculpted by Orville Wilson, as were the other LEGO ornaments.

Price: $ 14.95 US / $ 19.99 CDN

Continuing for the fifth year in a row, Hallmark created Exclusives for sale at national conventions. At both the San Diego Comic Con in July and the New York Comic Con in October, the Wrath Of The Rancor ornament was limited to 200 pieces per day for a total production run of 1,800. Designed by Robert Chad, the Rancor sports a real silver chain that hangs from his right claw. He measures about 4 inches tall and wide and is quite heavy.
