 If you have The Phantom Menace DVD, you can see this fellow selling his wares during the second cut scene in the "Deleted Scenes" portion of the DVD.

He began as Gasgano, but needed some alterations, such as the removal of his helmet, arm decorations, and re-positioning of his arms to allow them to be spread out.

After carving him down, he was repainted, while I paused my DVD for reference.

His tray of goodies was made from a soft-metal bottlecap, cut down and painted to look "rusty". The straps are an elastic, colored using a felt marker (paint won't stick to it!) and threaded through the tray. The front handles were made from wire and sculpey. The various treats in his tray (I have no idea what they are...) were just made from sculpey.

His display is made from wire, with sculpey treats hanging, each on their own "hook".
