This reconstruction consisted entirely of a simple re-paint. A vintage Threepio was given a glossy white finish, with the details added after careful examination of his VERY short scene in ESB. (Of course I found the reference picture below AFTER I finished him!) I'll have to add the blaster burns to him as well.

The droid is in fact in the War Room of Echo Station on Hoth (a location he seemed best "camouflaged" for it seems!)
