In order to make this very tall and thin custom, I thought the Episode One Battledroid would be a good base on which to start. Using an exacto knife and dremel, I thinned down the arms. I also removed some of the abdominal structures of the Battledroid. Next, I lopped of the head just under the chin, to leave a large peg on which to build the new elongated neck and head. I dremelled a small hole in the neck peg and inserted a hot straightened paper clip (looped at the top) to support the sculpey for the new head. I glued the wire in place and began to sculpt the chest plate, head, neck, collar and arms (smoothing them out and adding cuffs). The Battledroid's "hands" were nearly perfect -- all I had to do was remove a short brace between the fingers.

After painting in silver, white, red, grey tones and gloss black, I added the "skirt" made out of cloth. Since the Battledroid's legs were articulated at the hip and knees, the cloth skirt still allows him to sit down! His arms are movable at the shoulders and elbow joints as well.
