BACK

This is my first attempt at making a 12" custom. I wanted to make something to show at the Celebration 2 Customizing Panel, so I did this guy in just a few days.

I began with an electronic Jar Jar doll, which had the correct hands for making a Quarren. All I had to do with the hands was to cut off one finger, and dremel out the weapon Jar Jar was holding.

I started customizing the head by first chopping off Jar Jar's head halfway up his neck. By doing this, once I sculpted on the new Quarren head, it is now able to move, rotate and turn left and right on the neck post.

I scratch sculpted the head, using wire for support in his four tentacles.

I sewed his new clothes on a sewing machine, using velcro to attach his cape.

The belt was made from a soup can, cut to size with the sharp edges folded under for safety. After glueing on the small washers, I spray painted the belt gold. It is attached with wire through holes on either side of the can at the back.

Blue elastics were used for the wrist bands.
