I just had to show a few poses of my latest creation. Based upon Ralph McQuarrie's Christmas Card, "Santa Yoda" was made from a vintage Yoda. As you can see, his pack of toys is removable. Instead of staying exactly true to Mr. McQuarrie's design, a stuffed toy ewok (made enitrely from sculpey) has replaced the toy soldier in the pack. Also, a toy "blaster" has been added. His cane was carved down to make a gimer stick (not shown in these scans, unfortunately) and the rest of the custom was made from sculpey. The toy Wicket doll's spear was a severely cut down toothpick, and his face was detailed using a pin! I couldn't use a paintbrush, as Wicket is only one-quarter of an inch tall! |
