2005

Five new ornaments

IIn 2005, Hallmark continued with the red and blue box design, including a 2.5" x 3.5" "Holiday Memory Card" with each ornament. The front of each card is a photo of the ornament and the back was printed with "To:" and "From:" with room to write a personal message to the recipient.

Darth Vader from The Empire Strikes Back. This "Magic" ornament was sculpted by Kristina Kline from the reactor shaft gantry scene in Cloud City and features two lines (with appropriate heavy breathing of course) when the button on the left side of the base is pressed: "Luke, I am your Father" and "Join me and together we can rule the galaxy as father and son." It's a fairly hefty ornament at an impressive 4" wide by 3" deep and nearly 5" tall.

Price: $ 18.95 US / $ 27.95 CDN

The other "Magic" ornament that year was Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Starfighter from Revenge of the Sith. This silver and yellow craft also features R2D2. Sculpted by John Francis, this ship emits battle sounds when the button under the right wing is pressed. It measures 5" long, a bit over 4" wide and 2.5" tall.

Price: $ 28.00 US / $ 41.00 CDN

The Clone Trooper Lieutenant from Revenge of the Sith was sculpted by Anita Rogers, this figure sports a blue trim and black blaster and stands about 4" tall.

Price: $ 14.95 US / $ 19.95 CDN

The Ninth in the Series, Princess Leia in her famous "iron bikini" from Return of the Jedi. Sculpted by Kristina Kline, this ornament features a real movable chain around her neck and stands 4" tall.

Price: $ 14.95 US / $ 21.95 CDN

The final ornament for 2005 was a set of two Miniatures: The TIE Advanced x1 and Millennium Falcon. Sculpted by both Lynn Norton and Dill Rhodus, the Falcon measures less than 2" long by 1.25" wide and the TIE is a mere 1" square.
